Team Talbot ended its 2025 QMJHL Cup run with a 7-0 shutout over Team Bergeron in the consolation final on Saturday at Boisbriand’s Centre d’excellence Sports Rousseau.

It was these same players who set the tone for the game, starting things off with excellent rhythm for Team Talbot. Desrochers first accepted a beautiful pass, only to find himself all alone before beating Raphaël Tremblay with a backhand shot at 4:02. Alexis Benoît then made it 2-0 with a fine deke just 37 seconds later.

This was also reflected on the scoresheet, as Olivier Charron and Ethan Jones increased their team’s lead to 4-0 after just 77 seconds of play in the second period.

Team Bergeron woke up slightly at the start of the third frame. First, Dominic Schnarr hit the crossbar on a breakaway. Then, Cameron Haye skated in by himself against Robichaud while shorthanded, only to collide with the netminder, giving the leaders a five-on-three opportunity instead. Alexis Joseph took advantage to make it 5-0 with 9:25 to go.

Halley, with his third of the tournament, and Yoan Carrier, with his first, followed with goals to confirm the White team’s 7-0 victory.

In the end, Halley and Joseph led Team Talbot in points, with seven in four games. Desrochers and Benoît followed with five and four points each, respectively.
